ALTERING PANTS - Make Your Trousers Actually Fit

A standalone workshop for everyone with a pair of trousers in the back of the wardrobe that almost fits, but not quite. Maybe they're too long, too wide, gaping at the waist, ripped at the knee, or you've inherited a pair from someone taller. Here we fix them together, calmly and at your own pace, and you'll go home wearing a pair of trousers that finally fit the way you want them to.

Bring more than one pair if you have them. We can hem, take in, taper and also repair the ones that are broken or worn through.

I'll take care of everything. Sewing machines, thread, tools and coffee/tea. You just bring the trousers you want to work on.

You'll learn:

• How to hem all different kinds of trousers, including keeping the original worn edge (slidtkant) on jeans, a regular machine hem (almindelig oplægning), and an invisible hand-stitched hem (blindstik i hånden)
• Tapering wide legs into a slimmer or straighter cut
• Taking in or letting out the waistband
• Repairing rips, worn knees and broken seams so your trousers get a second life
• Pinning, fitting and pressing, the small steps that make alterations look professional

Project:

Your own trousers, altered and repaired so you actually want to wear them again.

This workshop is for the trousers you keep meaning to "get fixed one day". Bring the pair you love but never wear, plus the ones with a broken seam or a torn knee, and leave with them ready to go back into rotation. You'll learn techniques you can use again and again, on every pair of trousers you own.

We're only 4 on the team, so I can be there 100% for you all and will be by your side every step of the way.

The workshop is held in calm surroundings at Bentzonsvej 50B, Frederiksberg, just a 3 minute walk from Aksel Møllers Have metro.

WHAT TO BRING

More than one pair of trousers you want to alter or repair (jeans, suit trousers, linen trousers, anything woven). If you're unsure whether a pair is suitable, send me a photo before the workshop and I'll have a look.

TERMS

If I have to cancel, you'll be offered new dates or a gift card. If you can't make it, I'll happily help you resell your spot. Refunds are not given.
